First questions, plain answers
Not here? Call or write, and a lawyer answers.
What is the difference between setting aside and sealing?
Setting aside updates a conviction so it reads as set aside. Sealing hides a case from public view. Which one fits depends on your case and your state.
Who can still see a cleared record?
Usually courts, law enforcement, and some licensing and government employers. We name them in your plan.
Does the flat fee cover everything?
It covers our work on the case. Court filing fees and agency record fees are separate, and we tell you the amounts first.
Do you only handle California?
We work from California courts. If your case is in another state, we tell you early and point you to a lawyer there.
Can someone else call for me?
A family member can book the review. For the details of your case we speak with you directly.
What if I do not have my court papers?
Most people do not. We pull the official record and the court files ourselves as part of the review.
Is a Spanish-language consultation different?
Only in language. Estela or Sumiko takes the call, the written plan comes in Spanish, and the price is the same. Court papers are filed in English.
Will you tell me if I should not file?
Yes. If waiting is better, or the answer is no, the review says so, and you have paid for a review instead of a package.
